It's the return of Bandcamp Friday, and I've been busy writing music for an imaginary film this past month. 'The Album With No Name' is a collection of short 'Cinematic Slide Blues' instrumentals, and I've had a lot of fun recording them. Bandcamp may be graciously waiving their revenue share again, but I've got loads of free download credits, so enter zero and get some free music, I insist.

Ok, so this isn't technically a film soundtrack album, it's more a collection of instrumental themes. As a rule 'proper' soundtracks contain a great deal more underscore music, which doesn't really make for interesting listening outside the context of the film, unless you're a big film music nerd like myself. So I opted to write some 'listenable' songs with clear tunes and structure for this little project. Maybe one day I'll write some more abstract underscore stuff for one of these Bandcamp Friday things, although it probably wouldn't appeal to most people.

Oh, and if you happen to know of an independent film maker, animator or game developer who's looking for someone to write a slide guitar, western type score - get in touch, that'd be something I'd love to work on!
