This month's Bandcamp Friday release is a quirky, fun, bluesy one.

Two weeks ago I was working on a follow up to 'The Album With No Name' when I had a flash of inspiration and abandoned everything to write and record some weird acoustic songs about a robot bluesman instead, because....why the Hell not?

about

Allow me to set the scene...
One hundred years ago on an alternate Earth, a world not unlike our own save for a few subtle differences, and one big one - ROBOTS. On this version of Earth mankind has invented sentient robotic servants to do everyday tasks, and for the most part these robots are obedient and live in harmony with humans. The robots are all made at The Foundry, a gigantic factory the size of a city, and when the robots have outlived their usefulness they are taken back to The Foundry, melted down and repurposed.
Enter Robot Johnson, origin unknown, his only purpose is to play the Blues and he was not made at The Foundry. His maker is a mystery to everyone, including him.
Robot Johnson is unique, an enigma, and The Foundry want him so they can learn the secrets of his construction. To this end they sent a Bounty Hunter known as The Foundryman after him. Robot Johnson travels the land in search of his maker, playing his Mechanical Blues to anyone who will listen, and the Foundryman is hot on his trail.
