Andrews character filled vocals meld beautifully with his strings and lead you on your journey of contemplation. One of my favourite albums of the last year. Favorite track: Even The Ghosts.

Carsten Pieper Andrew McLatchie aka Half Deaf Clatch became one of the artists here on Bandcamp I came to trust that I don't have to prelisten before buying. Amongs all his in-between releases, this is 2023's "proper" album.

The cover (magnificent desolation btw) always makes me think, that this is a new iamthemorning release, but no, this is no prog album but another alt-country blues gem.

The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points. This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor
