In the scorching heat of the day the ravaged desert endures all and persists. Time passes slowly through the heat haze - seconds, minutes and hours move lazily forward with little care for the modern world.
Gradually, creeping onward, an interlude of shadows brings twilight and respite from the sun. Coyotes howl and the wind whispers its secrets into the air. Imposing, bathed in moonlight and mystery, the desert becomes a mirror to the vastness of the night.
